Congratulations and thank you for sharing your most important date with us here at the Taylor House Inn. We will do our best to insure that your wedding day is perfect, exactly as you dreamed it would be! We do weddings from "Just the Two of You" up to 300 guests on the grounds.
*SPECIAL MID-WEEK (Monday through Thursday) or Sundays afternoon (not in conjunction with holidays) where there is no minimum stay; site fee is available at 3:00pm. Contact us directly for any information.
Otherwise, in order to have a wedding at the Taylor House during week-ends, the Inn’s rooms have to be booked by the wedding party for 2-nights stay.
Your wedding package will include our grounds in Valle Crucis as a backdrop; two (2) nights in our Inn for family, wedding party or close friends with eight (8) bedrooms: 1 Suite, 5 spacious rooms in the main house and 2 small ones on the grounds next to the Inn. The rooms all have private baths and include numerous amenities to make yours and all of your guests an unforgettable stay. Each room accommodates two guests with an exception of a room and a suite; any extra person will be charged $25 + taxes per night. Total of occupancy: 16 + up to 4 extras possible (charged separately).
A full breakfast every morning, homemade and served family style; your guests will find chocolate kisses in their rooms. Please, no changing rooms for guests during the stay.
Just tell them to call the Inn and we will deduct their payments from your package cost.
Please note that the quotes do not include: Minister, flowers, cake, catering, drinks, rentals, or any party, reunion, meeting that would not have been discussed, approved and priced by the Taylor House Inn.
Taylor House does not provide, sell or serve alcohol: you can bring your own; no cork fees as well. May we suggest that you get in touch with “Wine to Water”; it is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit aid organization focused on providing clean water to people around the US and the world. They will match any quotation for wine. Their phone is 828-355-9655 . If you are bringing your own alcohol, license may be required.
There is no problem if you have your own caterer already, we will simply need proof of insurance and liability coverage. Or, we can help find one.
We have an extensive list of vendors that we pass along as soon as a contract is signed.
A sum of $1,000.-, will be required and applied as per follow: non–refundable deposit to be applied to the package cost. Balance of package cost have to be paid one (1) week prior to the event.
A contract signed by both parties is needed. In addition to the deposit a credit card number is required for incidentals. All rental charges will be due one (1) week prior to the event (by check). Any other costs incurred, will be due prior to the event. Due to any conditions beyond our control (weather, power outages, etc.) another available date may be selected at no additional charge; however, if the event is canceled, not re-scheduled or re-scheduled at a date not feasible for Taylor House Inn, there will be a forfeiture of the entire reservation. All prices and policies are subject to change until a contract is signed by the wedding party and Taylor House Inn.
