Aunt Sue's is one of the largest guest rooms at Taylor House, our North Carolina country inn, and is located on the front west corner of the second floor. Make it your choice for lodging when visiting Boone or Banner Elk, North Carolina.

Two large sets of windows overlook the herb garden and gazebo to the west and a peaceful view of the Valle and Dutch Creek to the front. A high, king-size, iron bed like grandmother’s with a down comforter and handmade quilt supply all comforts of yesteryear.

""A little time just to get away in Banner Elk""

Just he third time my wife and I have been away from our children. They are age 8 and 5. We were upgraded to Room #1 that that was just as pure as it could be. Their was a beautiful view and a quilt that look like our grandmother just made. It was extremely peaceful, quite and inn-keepers were pleasant to talk too. The breakfast was perfect with a great service. I am looking forward to my next stay there.

"Meteor Shower"

My husband and I stayed there during the weekend of the Meteor Shower in August. Bernard made us feel very much at home. So we grabbed a candle from his dresser and set up outside on the lawn with a bottle of wine to watch the "stars fall". Tessa served an excellent breakfast paying attention to all the fine trimmings. We really liked the way they treated us and hope to be there another visit.

We had never before stayed at a bed and breakfast. The setting of the Inn is beautiful! We very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet the other guests and to get to know Tessa and Bernard. We felt at home sitting in the comfortable living room reading and talking with other guests. We plan to return again, and would heartily recommend Taylor House Inn to other travelers.
